Corrections Policy

How readers, companies and sources can report mistakes and how GamblingWise handles updates.

How to request a correction

Send correction requests to hello@gamblingwise.org. Include the article URL, the sentence or claim you want reviewed, the reason it is wrong or incomplete, and any public source material that supports your request.

For urgent legal, safety or player-protection concerns, include “Correction request” in the subject line. Commercial disagreement alone does not require a correction, but factual evidence is always reviewed.

  1. Receive

The request is reviewed and connected to the relevant article, claim, source or missing context.

  2. Check

The newsroom compares the article against source material, public records, editorial notes and any evidence supplied by the requester.

  3. Classify

The issue is classified as correction, clarification, update, typo/formatting fix or no change.

  4. Publish

Material factual corrections are made in the article and noted where appropriate. Minor spelling or formatting changes may be fixed silently.

  5. Escalate

Legal, safety and player-protection concerns are prioritised and may be reviewed by the publisher before further action.

Correction

A factual error is fixed

Examples include wrong company names, dates, figures, licence details or misquoted statements.

Clarification

Accurate but unclear wording is improved

A clarification may add context where the original text could reasonably be misunderstood.

Update

New information changes the story

An update may be added when a regulator, operator or public document changes after publication.

Correction log

No material article corrections have been logged since the current GamblingWise trust center was published. When a material correction is made, this table should record the article, date and nature of the correction.
